WOSA Annual Dinner

This years’ Annual Dinner, scheduled for Friday 28 October, will have a Boarding theme since we are celebrating 60 years of Boarding in the School grounds. We are proposing this date because we would like to hold our Annual Dinner in the new Forder Centre but need to make sure this very special venue is ready. The Annual Dinner in late spring worked for us last year and we had good representation from rural Old Scholars, but we are mindful that for some on the land it may be too busy at the time of year to attend. We would appreciate your feedback to Peter Trenorden (’77), E: os@westminster.sa.edu.au or T: 08 8276 0234.

Women’s Soccer Players Wanted!

Westminster Old Scholars’ Soccer Club is seeking players to join their two women’s teams. Players do not necessarily need to be Old Scholars but need to be willing to uphold the code of conduct of the WOSSC. Players of all skill level are welcome to come and try training on Wednesday evenings (from 6.30 to 8.00 pm) on the Westminster Preparatory School Oval before committing to play. For more information, E: wossc.05@gmail.com, contact Ian on M: 0414 092 596 or find us on Instagram (wossc_) or Facebook (Westminster Old Scholars’ Soccer Club).

Vale

It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the passing of two Old Scholars.

Tomas Turner, Class of 2016, passed away on Monday 7 February 2022. Our thoughts are with Tom’s father Barry, mother Viv and sister Elleigh (’14) and the Turner family.

James Crabb, Class of 1987and a former Captain of Heaslip House, passed away on Thursday 27 January 2022. Our thoughts are with James’ mother Christobel, father Mac, brother Thomas (’95) and sister Annabel, and their wider family. James’ tribute notice stated: He lived to paint, and died knowing himself to be loved.
