Stormwater Upgrade in Alison Ave

The City of Marion has advised that they will be moving into Stage 2 of the Alison Ave Stormwater installation as from Monday 2 September. This second section will be closed for about three weeks and incorporates a closure from Farne Tce to south of Rathlin Ave as well as a section along it. This means that the Rathlin and Alison Aves intersection will now be closed. A map of this closure, showing the detour, is attached. We would recommend that if you are travelling north along Alison Ave to get to Gate 1 that you avoid the last minute detour into Andrew Ave, which is already busy at that time of the morning. Instead, consider other options to use the side streets (eg Oakleigh, Brian, Stroma to Avalon) or travel along Marion Rd to turn left into Avalon Rd then right into Farne Tce at the rail line (Gate 1 ahead).
