Early Learning to Year 12
We are excited to announce that we are about to launch the Dogs Connect program at Westminster.
This is a whole School wellbeing program that will see the introduction of a wellbeing dog in our community. Our School wellbeing dog will become a much-loved and important member of our community to provide our students and staff with support in their daily life on campus.
The Dogs Connect program will support us in implementing this very gradually, thoroughly and considerately. At this stage, we encourage anyone who would like to know more about this program to view the video and look through the Dogs Connect website https://dogsconnect.net.au
We are very excited to be introducing our wellbeing dog soon. We have a team of staff who will lead this program and we look forward to sending more information in the coming months as we work through it.
We would also like to assure you all that this program will not involve anyone who does not wish to be involved. We know that this work will have a positive impact on many people in our community. We acknowledge and respect that connection with our wellbeing dog will be offered on a great variety of levels. More information will be shared with families in early 2023, including how to notify us should you wish for your child not to be around our wellbeing dog.
Should you have any initial questions about the program, you are welcome to contact me via email at dog@westminster.school
