On Tuesday 22 October, 180 students from Years 2 to 12 performed in the 2019 Let’s Dance Co-curricular Dance Performance. Held in the Michael Murray Centre for Performing Arts, the night was a celebration of the learning that took place in the Co-curricular Dance program over the course of the year. Students performed in a variety of genres including Ballet, Jazz, Acrobatics, Indigenous Contemporary, Flamenco, Creative and Contemporary dance. Many thanks to the co-curricular dance tutors, theatre technicians, technical crew, Friends of Dance and family and friends who supported the production. We had a wonderfully warm audience that enjoyed a memorable night of dance.
Last Wednesday 30 October, our Year 8 Dance students joined our Musicians to create a Dance and Music concert to showcase the performance work being achieved in the curriculum program this semester. We congratulate these students on their achievements especially as for some, this year has been their first time ever performing on stage.
