Giving Day - Edition 20 - 2019

At Westminster we love and value our sport, for the sense of achievement, team spirit and community that it fosters. We are proposing to add to our extensive sport and learning facilities with the construction of a new Sport Pavilion.

We are asking you, as a valued member of our community, to support this exciting project and for one day only, every donation you make will be QUADRUPLED.

So how does this work? We have generous funding partners who have committed to matching every gift to FOUR times its original value. Our target is $1,000,000 which includes the impact of your quadrupled gift.

Giving Day step by step

No matter the size, every gift will make a difference and if over $2, will be tax deductible in Australia. There are numerous ways planned within the Pavilion project to thank you personally for your generosity. The students are getting behind the Sport Pavilion and running an inter-House competition to see which House can raise the most funds on the day. You can also support their efforts by assigning your donation to the House of your choice.

The Sport Pavilion would include:

  • four change rooms
  • the relocation of our Golden Keys Training Centre, with its state-of-the-art equipment donated by Golden Keys supporters
  • a Hall of Fame
  • a versatile, light-filled multi-purpose learning space for small or large classes that will also serve as a School community function room overlooking our extensive sporting fields
  • two tiered-seating stands for spectating and external learning - one side looking to the Main Oval and the other out to the Courtney.

This is a project that every student in the School will benefit from through their participation in sport, PE and other educational activities. The community will benefit through the use of the function room and viewing stands, providing them with a protected and elevated view of the action. It gives us a great opportunity to improve yet another facet of our School and, with generous community support, it could be a reality by the end of 2020.

Sport is integral to the development, wellbeing and success of students and therefore the School. Participation in sport continues to grow, thanks to our inspirational sport staff, great programs, visiting champions, coaches, trainers as well as family encouragement.

Help us build happy healthy students who can conquer the world

Join us on 20 June and QUADRUPLE the impact of your generous donation!
