Early Learning to Year 12

Friends of Westminster - Edition 7 - 2021

Friends of Westminster (FOW)

As the overarching group that brings our community groups together, we expect our Term 2 meeting will be held in the coming weeks and a date will be advised shortly.

We are pleased to be able to assist our football families and friends with the Saturday Sport BBQ, firing up as from Saturday 15 May – come along and enjoy the sausage sizzle!

One of our responsibilities is to maintain the volunteer register for anyone willing to be asked to assist at various events that are held at the School during the course of a year.

If interested, please do not hesitate to contact me using the details below or the School, E: development@westminster.school

Parents’ Club (PC)

A huge thank you from the Parents’ Club committee to all guests who attended our Mother’s Day Luncheon, Friday 7 May at the Marion Hotel.

It was an outstanding success and, being the first that we have taken on as the Parents’ Club, I also thank our amazing committee who made it all possible.

Thank you also to our wonderful Guest Speaker, Old Scholar Christine Zietz (’86), General Manager Asia Pacific at Northrop Grumman.

We look forward to reporting the results of our fundraising from this event.

And don’t forget ...

60th Ball

Save the Date - Saturday 28 August 2021 for the Westminster Diamond Anniversary Ball at the Convention Centre in Adelaide.

This is our ‘Diamonds are Forever’ 60th Anniversary night of sparkling glamour, entertainment, dinner and drinks.

Keep the date and we’ll soon have more information to share.

Our next meeting is at 6.30 pm on Monday 17 May in the temp Music Room near Gate 4. All welcome!

A call-out to everyone in the community who generously supported our Ivory Keys raffle. We will be discussing our fundraising progress with the Music staff as we look to assist in the process of replacing pianos in our Music department.

Boarder Parents’ Association (BPA)

Thank you to the Boarding parents who were able to make the Mother’s Day Lunch. Always great to see our Boarding families so well represented. This year we had two tables – a fantastic effort since many had to travel some distance to attend!

Look forward to catching up soon before our annual BPA weekend in mid-October (who’s up for the ‘Diamonds are Forever’ 60th Anniversary Ball?).
