‘Annie’ - Volunteers Needed!

Friends of Westminster (FoW) is seeking volunteers to help with food and beverage service preshow and during interval over the three nights of the School Musical, 'Annie'.

FoW will be offering a hot food, snacks and full drinks service, including beer, wine and champagne.

Broadly speaking, we need up to eight volunteers per night, per session for the following times (approx.):

• Afternoon - one or two volunteers for loading food in pie warmers etc from 4.00 pm for a short time
• Preshow - two from 5.00 pm and from 5.30 pm, six volunteers - three in the kiosk and three at the drinks/bar stations
• Interval from 7.55 to 8.25 pm, six volunteers - three in the kiosk and three at the drinks/bar stations to help with set up and pack down or just serving for the half hour of interval
• End of night, two volunteers for about 15 mins.

Fun Fair 2019

Fun Fair for 2019 was brilliant, so thank you. We had a record number of volunteers on many stalls this year. To anyone who had a child volunteer please be very proud of your children. They were outstanding. They are a credit to you.

It was a fabulous day, well attended by students, families, staff and the community at large. A special thanks to our Convenors who ran our stalls.

We have two Convenor role retirements we would like to acknowledge, and give thanks to.
A huge thank you to Debbie Baker who is officially retiring as our Treasurer (she tried to do it last year, but it's definitely happening this year). Debbie has been our Treasurer for over 10 years, and does the most amazing job. Thank you Deb, you are a rockstar.

Also to Colin Walters who is retiring as our Primary School Challenge Convenor. Thank you Colin and Jacqui. We love that you are staying on with us even if you aren't the Primary School Challenge Convenor moving forward.

Thank you again to our Primary School Challenge sponsor for 2019, Ray White Brighton - it is always great to have community support at these events.

To all the Westminster community who makes the day what it is, whether it's donations to our stalls, the House Heads organising our rosters, the Development Office and Maintenance guys who make us look so good, the volunteers who spend hours and hours in the Fair House helping sort, the week of setup and months of preparation, on the day volunteering, the pack up, or attending and enjoying the day we thank you!
