A Uniting Church coeducational independent day and boarding school on Kaurna Country, Adelaide, South Australia

Early Learning to Year 12

Friends of Westminster - Edition 16 - 2018

Calling all volunteers!

Thank you all who attended the FoW meeting last Monday 29 October, it was great to see some new faces and catch up with our regular team. We were fortunate to get an update on the vision for the school from our Principal, Simon Shepherd.

In preparation for the impact of the new Inquiry and Innovation Hub, FoW have been allocated a new location for our drop-off area and item storage for the Fun Fair and other FoW community group items.

Our new drop off area will be in the buildings behind the Health Centre, with access down the side of the school, near the train line. The school community will be notified when we reopen and are ready to take donations again.

Next Sunday 11 November between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm, we are asking for volunteers to help move the contents of the Fun Fair Shed (Gate 4) to the new location in House 2.

We will mainly be moving items already in small/medium boxes and trays, particularly bric-a-brac, toys and books. BYO trailers or utes would be appreciated.

Please note that being Remembrance Day, we will be observing 11.00 am for a minute’s silence, and FoW will also be providing lunch for those there across lunchtime.

As always, we really appreciate the assistance of our volunteers and hope that you might be able to spare an hour or two to help FoW with this move.

Hopefully, with many hands helping out, we will be finished in time to enjoy the predicted sunshine!
