A Uniting Church coeducational independent day and boarding school on Kaurna Country, Adelaide, South Australia
Early Learning to Year 12
Congratulations to Max Junge (Year 7 Fricker) who recently auditioned and was selected as one of 12 children from Adelaide to be part of the children’s choir for the State Opera production of La Boheme. The schedule is very intense as they are rehearsing three times per week in preparation for the performance on Saturday 26 March at Glenelg Beach. Well done to Max. This is a wonderful achievement.
While we were hoping to start the year off with a few performances in Term 1, due to health advice we are having to rethink some of our events. For now, the Autumn Gala Music concert, the Gather community picnic and Tenebrae are having to be cancelled, but we hope to be able to reschedule some things for later in the year so we can still come together to hear our incredibly talented students.
A few Old Scholars and current instrumental staff have been busy during the Adelaide Fringe.
Josh Chenoweth (’15), Jack Degenhart (’12) and Kyle Chenoweth (’18) all had performances in various forms. John McDermott (Drums) and Joseph Freer (Cello) also had regular work. Annie Isaksson (’14) ran her show at the Lab in the city, while “Blow” was run by Jessica Bigg (Voice and Choir) and featured a few Old Scholars.
It is great to see so many wonderful performances from our tutors and Old Scholars.
