Student Achievements

Congratulations to the following students on their recent AMEB results.

Flute

Eden Moriarty (Year 5 Charter) received an A for her First Grade Comprehensive AMEB Flute Exam last week. This is a fantastic result given she has only had two terms of private lessons and started this year with the band program.

Eva Bratkovic (Year 8 Dunstan) - AMEB Grade 4 Flute - A Honours

Ava Styles (Year 6 Charter) - AMEB Grade 2 Flute - A Honours

All three flute students were taught by Natalie Zwar.

Saxophone and Clarinet

The following clarinet students, taught by Sheryl Fox and accompanied by Chris Gould, also sat their saxophone and clarinet exams. Congratulations to these students on their results.

Sing and String Soiree

This year's String and Sing Soiree will be held in the gardens of Music House, 25 Alison Avenue Marion (enter through Gate 4 and walk between the Music sheds). The concert will begin at 3.00 pm on Sunday 24 October and run for just over an hour. It involves the Senior String Ensemble, Senior Orchestra, Vocal Jazz 2 and a number of soloists and small groups.

The Friends of Music are providing refreshments and Mel Beattie will be selling specialty cupcakes along with your choice of coffee, tea or champagne. There is no charge for this event.

Prep Showcase

The annual Prep Showcase will be staged in the Michael Murray Centre and involves all of the Prep Music ensembles. The concert begins at 6.00 pm on Tuesday 26 October.

Twilight Concert

The annual Twilight Concert will be held on Wednesday 27 October starting at 6.00 pm. It will include the Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 Music class bands and the Year 7, 8 and 9 Dance classes. The concert will run for approximately 75 minutes and it will be held in the Michael Murray Centre. Tickets are available on www.trybooking.com/BUKOH

There is no charge for this concert but you must register as there are limited seats available.
