Thanks to all who came to the Strings and Orchestra’s final concert in the Chapel last Sunday. The Concert featured the Senior Strings Ensemble, the Senior Orchestra and a number of soloists, plus a special appearance from the Year 3 string ensemble.

Well done to all involved in the concert and to Ms Chris Gould for organising this event

Prep Showcase

What a treat it was to attend the Prep Showcase last Tuesday evening. The quality of musicianship, the student numbers involved and the enthusiasm displayed by all ensembles was quite amazing. Congratulations to all students who took the stage in putting on such a slick and professional show. Well done to all the Directors of the ensembles, piano accompanists and musicians who all played to support the various ensembles. Congratulations to Mrs Tiffany Hunter and Mrs Karen Wandel for organising this event.

Staff received quite a bit of positive feedback which is always greatly appreciated, and well deserved. I have included a couple of snippets below.

"Just wanted to send an email to you and the choir/music/showcase team to say CONGRATULATIONS…. Last night was just awesome. The students were amazing and it was thoroughly enjoyable to watch. Please pass on thanks to the other staff and senior performers that supported the students on stage."

"I just wanted to email to say thank you to all of you for the amazing efforts you went to for tonight’s Showcase performance. The students looked so joyful and were an absolute delight to watch and I know that many, many hours have gone into the performance. Well done on such a brilliant overall effort - I really think this was a special one!"

Twilight Concert

Well done to the Year 8, 9 and 10 Music classes and Year 8 Dance classes who performed a segment of their year’s work for parents and families. Every class did something a little different to highlight their strengths and their efforts were greatly appreciated. Thank you again to the families and friends who came along to support the students.

Vocal Jazz 2
