Early Learning to Year 12

Advancement and Marketing Manager - Edition 18 - 2019

As the year draws to a close, I have been overwhelmed by the kindness that has been extended by our community to our School over what has been an extremely busy year!

This Friday, we will be thanking our major donors and community volunteers at an event in the School cloisters. Entertaining us will be the fabulous music tutors that ignite the passion in our students by teaching them a musical instrument of their choice. We are so fortunate to have a music programme that lends itself to a broad range of musical tastes. In our next edition of Westminster News, we will be shining the light on our magnificent performing arts programme and this should arrive in letterboxes before Christmas time.

This year we have had the honour of welcoming more than 33 new members to the School Foundation and 144 new donors to the School. This is during a time when we realise that the School is going through a huge transformation, so it is humbling to receive such great support from the community. Every cent counts and we are very aware that the gift of time is one of the most valuable commodities that we have! A great quote by Winston Churchill summarises this, “”We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

For those who went to our All Stars Ball back in November, a video was shared which captured a snapshot of the last 18 months at Westminster School. Whilst it doesn’t capture all of what an education at Westminster provides, I feel it sums up the joy that is ignited in our community and students each day.

From the team in the Development Office, we wish you a joyous Christmas.
