Westminster School’s 60th Anniversary marks another important milestone in our history. We plan to celebrate our commemorative year online and through a series of tailored events, and invite all members of our School community to join with us in recognising this momentous achievement.
On 7 February 1961, Westminster opened its doors to 143 foundation students - all boys, across Years 1 to 8 (equivalent). It was on that day the School’s first Headmaster Douglas Highmoor Forder famously declared to the assembled students, parents, staff and live radio audience: Let the life of the School begin.
Sunday 21 March, 4.00 to 8.00 pm, Courtney Oval
WestFest – a twilight event to celebrate the School’s 60th Anniversary. Enjoy a picnic on the Courtney Oval, surrounded by green open space and good friends. Wander through the twilight market and enjoy a line-up of live music and student performances. Free activities and experiences for the whole family to enjoy including Nature Play SA, Animals Anonymous and Glitter Bar. Bring your own picnic rug or purchase your own Boho Luxe Picnic Package (no BYO food or beverage).
We are adding an alumni section to our website and as a valued member of our community, we would love to hear from our Old Scholars.
