Bequests
Why make a Bequest?
Arthur Kelly Society - Our way of thanking you for your Bequest to Westminster School
Independent schools pride themselves on their scholarship and bursary programs, however, donations to such education endowment programs, unless for open scholarships, do not have tax concessions. A bequest to the endowment fund is, therefore, an ideal way to help the School build this fund to provide future opportunities for students to attend Westminster who otherwise could not afford it.
Bequests can be in the form of property, real estate, shares, jewellery, art, antiques or money. You can bequest either a specific item or sum of money, or a percentage of your estate. A bequest donor becomes a member of the Arthur Kelly Society. Members enjoy privileges of invitations to the School and, furthermore, know that they are helping to secure the long-term future of Westminster.
About the Arthur Kelly Society
The Westminster School Foundation and School Council formed the Arthur Kelly Society in 2002. The Society acknowledges and honours those who remember the School in their will and seeks to emphasise the importance of bequests for the future of the School. The Society also promotes the leadership of the Society members in encouraging others to make similar School commitments. Society members are School ambassadors and an important link between past and future Westminster generations. Membership is open to anyone who notifies the School of a bequest in their will.
"One of the noblest actions people can take is to plant a small tree that will one day give shade to those they never know."
