Arts, Sport and Outdoor Ed
Westminster School has many great features. These departments offer subjects in the curriculum and co-curricular (outside of school hours) choices. Some of our strengths are the arts, sport and outdoor education. But we have many other areas with great facilities, teachers and programs including Maths & Science, English & Humanities, IT, agriculture, VET/tech, extension & enrichment, German and Japanese languages and business subjects.
For example within the arts we have visual arts and performing arts. Within performing arts we have music, drama and dance. Within each of those we have compulsory and elective subjects and a huge choice of extracurricular activities, tours and performances as well. Within visual arts we have art practical, art theory, photography, fashion design, graphic design and arts tours. It’s an amazing range and depth of opportunity.
Sport and Outdoor Ed are robust parts of our curriculum to the end of year 12 as well as fundamental pillars of our camp program and school after hour’s co-curricular activities. We have 140 sporting teams, awesome facilities, a positive culture of involvement in sport and a stunning history of achievement in outdoor ed.
Both our primary school and secondary school have comprehensive programs across all areas. From Early Learning Centre to Year 7 in the primary school to 5 sciences (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Agriculture and Psychology), 4 Maths, 3 Englishes, 4 business subjects (Economics, Business, Legal and Accounting) in the Senior School.
