OUTDOOR EDUCATION
The School’s Outdoor Education program enjoys a high profile amongst South Australian secondary schools, with most senior students taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme. Local, interstate and occasional overseas expeditions are organised and include activities as varied as bushwalking, skiing, rock-climbing and kayaking. The Outdoor Education program begins in the Preparatory School, continuing into the Senior School.
The Year 6 camp is a weeklong outdoor education trip to the Grampians. Students abseil, mountain bike and bushwalk around waterfalls, enjoy the giant swing, canoe, participate in triathlon and check out the wildlife and scenery.
There is also an outdoor education program in Year 7 which gives the students a taste for the opportunities which lie ahead.
