Drama
Westminster has established a fine tradition in the performing arts, having staged many plays and musicals. The School offers co-curricular drama, but also offers it as a Year 8 subject that can be studied at each subsequent year level. We endeavour to produce a variety of dramatic productions each year, involving all year levels.
Irrespective of experience, students have the opportunity to perform. There is scope for students to be actively involved in all facets of a production, including performance, technical (lighting, sound), backstage, set design, set painting, publicity, photography, costumes and make-up. The School runs a series of workshops in the performing arts, often in our renowned Michael Murray Centre for Performing Arts, which provides excellent on and off-stage learning experiences for our performing arts students.
