BOYS’ BOARDING HOUSE

Gone is the older style of ‘dormitory’. Boy boarders at Westminster now occupy the recently refurbished and air conditioned boarding house. Each senior boy (Years 11 and 12) has his own room and the younger boys (Years 7 to 10) share a double room.
The boarding house also offers comfortable recreation and TV rooms.

The exciting news for all boy boarders is the brand new purpose built Boys' boarding house which will be ready for occupation at the start of 2013. To be constructed on another part of the campus it means a seamless change from existing boys boarding at the end of 2012 to a new house at the start of 2013.

Staffing

Professional, dedicated, accessible.
The Director of Boarding, Gary Davison, is ultimately responsible for all Westminster School boarding matters. He works closely with, and is supported by, the Head of Boys’ Boarding, Darren Roylett. These key people lead our Boarding staff and have specific responsibility for the general and academic progress of all boarders. The Director of Boarding is responsible to the Principal for the overall direction of our Boarding program. The Head of Boys’ Boarding has responsibility for domestic arrangements, covering areas such as leave, relationships with other boarders and emotional wellbeing. Supporting the Heads in each boarding house is a dedicated team, which includes Housemothers, residential staff, teachers and tutors.
