Sports and Swimming Centre – Lifeguard (2 Positions)

Permanent Part Time – 6 days per week, 48 weeks per year

Position 1 - AM Shift
27 hours per week (0.71 FTE):
5:00am to 9:00am Monday to Friday
5:30am to 1:00pm Saturdays

Postion 2 - PM Shift
30.50 hours per week (0.80 FTE):
4:30pm to 10:30pm Monday to Thursday
4:30pm to 8:30pm Friday
8:00am to 12:30pm Sundays

Commencing February 2018

The Lifeguard supervises patrons and staff to ensure the highest standard of safety and supervision within the pool environment, as well as providing friendly and courteous customer service, and positively promoting the Sports and Swimming Centre at all times.

History and Business & Enterprise Teacher – Senior School

Full time, fixed term – Senior School (Years 8 – 12)
Teaching History, Research Project, and Business & Enterprise

Commencing Term 1 covering a period of leave

Our Senior School teachers share primary responsibility for the quality of teaching and learning, assessment and reporting in the School. This role requires skills and maintenance in higher order knowledge in the disciplines taught and in contemporary pedagogy.

Housemother – Girls’ Boarding House

12 month, fixed term, part time opportunity
Average of 25 hours per week during School term times on a rotating roster in a job share type arrangement.

The Housemother is an integral member of a dynamic team who live with and/or care for students living in the Girls’ Boarding House. The Housemother is responsible for supporting the Head of Girls’ Boarding in the pastoral and practical care of the boarding students. The Housemother plays a unique role in fostering a loving and disciplined environment in which the boarding students can learn, grow, share and shine.

Hours of Duty:

Housemothers are rostered to actively work with and for the boarding students during the following hours in term time:

  • 7.30 to 9.30 am and 2.30 to 9.30 pm (with a 30 minute meal break) on week days
  • 7.00 am to 12.30 pm and 3.30 to 6.30 pm on Saturdays

Human Resources Manager

Full time, 5 year contract

The Human Resources (HR) Manager is responsible to the Principal, working closely with the Director of Corporate Services and other members of the School Leadership Team and Line Managers to provide a range of strategic and operational HR services. The HR Manager will have oversight of the Human Resources Administrator.

School Psychologist

Full time, permanent role

Reporting directly to the Principal, the School Psychologist will work closely with the Pastoral Care team including the Head of Wellbeing, Heads of School, Heads of House and the Principal in promoting the welfare and well-being of students and staff at all levels in the School and to provide effective counselling support for students experiencing personal, emotional, behavioural and/or social difficulties.

If you are a highly skilled, experienced and qualified psychologist who is well versed on contemporary mental health matters affecting young people, along with excellent communication skills, we would welcome your application.

Whilst this position is employed full time across the year, working conditions and expectations during school term times and term breaks, remuneration and some other conditions will be comparable to Teaching staff at Westminster.
